Gorgeous Family Photos for Mother's Day

Every single photoshoot I worked on, it’s always special. Every couple, family, baby, kid that I connected with leave a huge mark in my heart—I just love what I do so much! Every photo I clicked has a piece of my heart in it and all those amazing clients are just special people that the Universe gave me!

This session was more than special! I saw once Chloe welcoming to Gabi’s arms—this little human being, so anxious to meet her parents that she came a bit premature. Instead of taking Gabi’s maternity photos, I had to rush to the hospital and adventure on this inexplicable word of photographing births. Never saw a childbirth before in my life! I’ve explained Gabi that I didn’t have any experience with birth photography, but my heart was all on it! I was with Gabi and Sean from 10am till 11pm on that Sunday. It’s only so much words able to describe what I felt, what I experienced. It was beyond photography… it was beyond taking pictures… I was holding Gabi’s hand experiencing that miracle, that little human being coming after almost exhausting 20 hours in labor. She was just gorgeous! At that point I understood how privileged I was, how gifted. I’ll carry that day in my heart, forever!

Today, Chloe is 4 months old. The most beautiful little pumpkin I ever seen! I’m just grateful… I’ve no more words to say than that. Thank you, Universe! Just thank you!

Family Photoshoot in New York

For those who are wondering where to do a family photoshoot that is not as crowded as Central Park, the Riverside South Park is a beautiful spot in New York City!

There are some improvements coming soon, which will make the park even more charming. With gorgeous trees and a few areas to rest, it’s perfect for a walk or just to chill and watch the sunset. It’s a pretty good alternative to run away from tourists and the crowd in Central Park, especially now the sun if finally, here!

I love photographing families, babies and catch this special moment—they just grow up too fast!!! After a raining week and several days of cloudy afternoons, we’re pretty lucky to get this “summery” shots! What a beautiful Wednesday!

Live proposal in Dumbo, Brooklyn: She said Yes!

Oh, my heart! And she said YES! There’s only so much words to describe how thrilled I was to be part of this moment. What a Monday!

I got super excited when Guilherme contacted me about his idea to propose Luiza and do a mini photoshoot in Dumbo! The weather hasn’t been great since April—lots of unexpected rain and cloudy days—so we got apprehensive that the rain would wash out the big surprise! On my way to Dumbo I was caught in the middle of some drizzle, but as soon as we started the session, a gorgeous light came around and we got some beautiful shots—just in time for the big question to pop up!

As you probably realised at this point, I absolutely love photographing in Dumbo and capturing such a special moment is priceless! I’m just so happy for them! A huge cheer to LOVE!

Planning your maternity photoshoot? Tops places in NY for best maternity photos

The spring is finally colouring and warming the city, making it a perfect season for a romantic outdoor photoshoot. Central Park is definitely one of the most famous destination for a maternity photoshoot, but Dumbo is getting popular, not only for engagements photos.

Dumbo (or DUMBO, short for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass) is a neighbourhood in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. A couple of years back, this area was known for the Brooklyn Bridge view only and a huge area with 100-year-old warehouses that now have turned into luxury condos, hip restaurants, cutting-edge performance art spaces and tech start-ups. Today, It is one of New York City’s hippest, historic neighbourhoods with unsurpassed views and the city’s best pizza! Best of all, you can take some of the best photos of New York City skyline.

There’s quite a few different scenarios for your photos, from Jane’s Carousel lights to both iconic bridges, Manhattan and Brooklyn, cozy cafes and restaurants, park and Pebble Beach— a charming place to chill and just watch the sunset over the river.

If you are planing your maternity photoshoot, you might consider Dumbo as part of an iconic memory of New York City!

Ballerina Photoshoot at the New York Public Library | Camila Rodrigues

What a dream! The truth is I’m still in ecstasy after this amazing opportunity to photograph the Brazilian ballerina Camila Rodrigues at the iconic New York Public Library.

Since the beginning of my career as a photographer, I was fascinated about dance photography and the movements frozen in a frame—such passion, strength and daintiness all together. It took me a while to move this step forward and try something different, completely out of my comfort zone. I LOVED IT!

Ballet photography requires patience and technique knowledge and it’s much more about perfection and details—completely different from a documentary or lifestyle photoshoot. Photographing Camila definitely made me push myself harder and drive my eyes to a different point of view. I am absolutely certain that this project is the first of many more to come!

Thank you, Camila! It was a honour and a pleasure doing this photoshoot with you! And for those who are interested in photographing at New York Public Library in Bryant Park, you won’t need a permit since you don’t use either flash/light equipment or tripod—just bring your camera and have fun!

Maternity Photoshoot in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn

Usually the big island, Manhattan, gets the whole attention when talking about photoshoots. But as a Brooklyn person, I must say there’re so many stunning and charming streets around Brooklyn Heights and Cobble Hill—a perfect scenario for a chill and spontaneous photoshoot.

Walking along Congress Street, we found this small park, Cobble Hill, with gorgeous and romantic townhouses in the background—just in time for spring! I love combining indoor and outdoor photoshoots, so we can get a broad range of photos, from a more intimate scenario to a walk around the neighbourhood with all the spring vibe!

Next time, when scouting for places for your maternity photoshoot, go check around Bergen St, Pacific St and Cobble Hill Park! You won’t regret!

Couple Photoshoot in Dumbo, Brooklyn

Have you ever imagined doing a couple or engagement photoshoot under drizzles and rain? So, it turned out a beautiful evening and we got gorgeous shots of Thamires and Michael at the Brooklyn Bridge Park.

This spot in Dumbo, called Pebble Beach, gives you a stunning view to Brooklyn Bridge and it’s one of my favourites places for an engagement photoshoot. On an early evening, right after the sun goes down, you can see Manhattan lights and Jane’s Carousel at the background.

It’s always fun to shoot in Dumbo! Sunny or raining, it’s impossible not to get home with some beautiful shots!

If you are visiting New York and planing a destination engagement photoshoot, you might consider Dumbo in your list of options. Either on a sunny or cloudy day, you’ll always come back home with beautiful and romantic memories with your loved one! I must say, it’s one of my favourites spots in town!

You’ll get so many different scenarios, as Brooklyn Bridge, Jane’s Carousel lights, the parallelepiped streets and cozy cafes, the breath taking view of Manhattan skyline and many more spots! I always schedule my shots a couple of hours before the sunset and finish the photoshoot with a beautiful sunset photo at Pebble Beach.

Even if you live in town, it’s impossible to get enough of this neighbourhood. If you are planning a couple or engagement photoshoot, you must go in the afternoon and check the chill vibe in the area!

Fashion Photoshoot in SoHo | Welcome Spring 2019

There’s no doubt SoHo is the best spot for a fashion and street photoshoot in New York. I had so much fun with @ColoursOfCoco walking around Spring St, Broome St and the instagrammable Nomo Hotel—a classic spot for a photo.
