Andamos cobertos, espírito e corpo

Uma falsa liberdade, que não se enxerga—efeito da modernidade

Gritamos por direitos enquanto nossos desejos, presos no idealismo

Berramos por liberdade enquanto comungamos as convenções do modernismo

Confundimos nosso espírito livre com rebeldia

Uma falácia fantasiada—o que é verdade?

Mas seguimos com a alma pintada

Preservando o seio, negando desejos, flagelando nossos anseios

Marchando na ordem convencional

Que é para não expormos nosso peito, preservar nossa moral intangível

E não nos desgastarmos enquanto gastamos a vida

Vivendo no raso

E aos poucos, nossa essência vai escorrendo pelo ralo. //

Superpositions

Pensamos que a fotografia é estática. Mas há movimento até no silêncio—assim como as vezes ele pode ser ensurdecedor, a fotografia constrói coreografias, histórias, conta transformações, causa revoluções. É um movimento, constante, que causa dentro da gente.

A fotografia sempre contou um pouco de mim. Aquele olhar manso sobre a natureza—as cores como rimas em poesia. Aquele sorriso espontâneo depois do “xis” —uma busca constante pelo ser verdadeiro, cru, sem pose. Uma busca pela minha própria essência. Um olhar que vê sentimento, sem muita composição.

Mas na verdade, somos todos uma sobreposição. De preceitos, anseios, desejos, aquilo que a sociedade exige; tudo aquilo que escondemos de nós mesmos. Somos uma constante transformação—constante desejo de ser, outro(a). Somos a soma de cada pessoa que nossa alma encontra e divide histórias, lágrimas, risos. Seremos sempre encontros, desencontros e sobreposições. É da nossa natureza humana reinventar—somos constante movimento.

Meus últimos anos fora do Brasil tem sido essa metamorfose cigana, coisa doida—quando acho que meu casulo está pronto para se abrir, eu me perco entre caixas de mudanças e recomeços. Eu sempre recomeço. É a resiliência berrando dentro de mim numa conversa infinita sobre sonhos e demônios, muita saudade, força e fracassos—muitos fracassos. Muitos risos. Cada recomeço era uma chance de mudança, de revolução. Evolução.

E ainda vivo essa transformação. Ela é infinita. “Não há nada fixo ou permanente, somos processos em transformação. Em cada encontro, nos transformamos. Cada pessoa que encontramos nos transforma.” —Sábia Monja Coen. É ilusória essa perseguição por perfeição. Tudo é movimento. Todo fim é chance de um recomeço—serei sempre vários casulos em constante metamorfose.

Minha fotografia evoluiu. Ela busca sua linguagem própria—como uma criança que aprende palavras, estou ainda procurando a minha voz dentro da fotografia. Estou sempre em movimento—aprendendo. E cada ensaio, cada cliente, cada alma que fotografo é um pedaço de transformação dentro de mim. É um processo lindo—não consigo fazer nada sem paixão. E aprendo que não existe perfeição. Existe aquele momento único—por mais que a lente tente repetir, ele já se foi... passou! Assim como todos nós! Amanhã já não seremos mais o que foi hoje. Amanhã, é a chance de ser outra coisa—linda na sua imperfeição, guerreira na sua evolução.

About taking family portraits ❤️

One of my greatest pleasure about being a photographer is moments like these—not always the photoshoot goes as you planned and you must challenge yourself and remember that the perfection on a photo is not only the best pose to make you look slimmer and younger, but the smile and good memories that photo will give you!

Photographing kids is always a challenge! They want to run free, to jump, to explore and not to loose that moment to be still and pose for a stranger behind the camera. A true portrait of a family at the park is full of spontaneity, the favourite toy—even if it’s not the prettiest one—a big laugh—doesn’t matter if it gives you a double chin or not, it should be a true reflexion of that moment, that happiness, that second that got frozen in your memory forever.

Each family photoshoot is unique! I don’t follow poses or recipes—one portrait is never the same as the other, simply because each person is unique and each family has your own dynamic. And I believe my work is to portrait the best of them and give them the best memories they could have—something that they felt and not posed for!

Dani's Birthday Party | The Superman

We live among super heroes, but not the kind with impossible powers as we see on movies. They are around us, every day, fighting in silence, seeking all the good they can find in such hopeless times. They work tireless to keep up with the full fridge, the coolest game, trendy shoes, best school—they are always giving their best to give us the best. They learn how to hide their tears with smiles, just to see us smiling; to hide their fears just to encourage us to be fearless. Our father and mother could never fly over the clouds, but they could give us their heart just to see us living under the blue sky.

His smile on these photos are priceless. Superman and Batman might be his super heroes, but I’m sure the big heroes behind all this are his mom and dad! Congrats, folks, for such accomplished mission!

A sunset in Rio de Janeiro

Yes, Rio de Janeiro is one of the most beautiful cities I’ve ever been! It was my first time in this beach—Reserve Beach—and I was delighted. Usually I go to Rio to spend Holidays with my hub’s family—so, it’s always freaking hot and humid. During “winter” time—meaning 20ºC—it’s much more chill and even tough the sun doesn’t set over the sea, you’ll still have a beautiful golden light at the beach. Perfect for a family photoshoot and you won't literally melt in the sand.

I’m always grateful to be back home. This time was even more special—I had the chance to meet this little pumpkin and spend a marvellous time at the beach with these special people! <3
